DIY - TUTU Tutorial

I love Halloween!!! This year my office is dressing up as glammed up super heroes. I made a tutu for my Spider-Man costume. I thought I would show a tutorial on how i made it. 

First, you will need tulle in whatever color you like, some elastic, and scissors. 

Next, cut your elastic long enough to tie around your waist. I tied mine in a knot because I don't sew!! Begin cutting strips in the tulle. When cutting it keep in mind you will be folding each strip in half. When all your strips are cut begin adding them to the elastic. To add the tulle simply fold the strip in half and put the loop above the elastic then pull the ends of the tulle back through the loop. 

Do this layer by layer till you reach the fullness you want.

When your are done adding all your tulle try your tutu on and trim it to your desired length.

Take the pieces you trim off and tie them around the elastic. This will give the band of the tutu a little more glam.
